Service Days

Any Scout or Scouter is invited to attend any of the Service Days listed.

In order to prepare Camp Benjamin Hawkins to host nearly 1000 Arrowmen from across Georgia and Alabama, we will be hosting multiple service days. These days will include work projects ranging from the repainting of A-frames, to the construction of a new stage and arena on Lakeside, and even some more massive fires like the one we had during our December 2010 Service Day.

To help make the process of improving camp more fun, the Lodge has introduced a set of patches that can be earned for providing certain numbers of hours of service. Currently there are three patches, with the possibility of more being designed if service numbers grow larger than anticipated.

Once a member has provided the certain number of hours, he will be given the respective patch. However, at the time he is given the patch, he has the opportunity to purchase a second patch for $10. No member will be forced to purchase any patches, but once you turn down the opportunity you cannot come back later to buy one.

Although this may seem strict, we hope that the patches will help foster the spirit of service to which our Order is dedicated.
